May is Older Americans Month
Each May, Ohio joins the nation in observing Older Americans Month. This year’s theme for Older Americans Month is “Aging Unbound". The Area Agency on Aging District 7 (AAA7) joins the Ohio Department of Aging, local providers and senior centers, and other important partners in the aging network in recognizing older adults and the people who serve and support them.
In observance of Older Americans Month, representatives from the AAA7, local County Senior Centers, and other organizations serving seniors met with County Commissioners throughout the ten counties in the AAA7's district. County Commissioners signed a proclamation for Older Americans Month to mark this observation.

ADAMS COUNTY - In 2022, the AAA7 served 551 individuals in Adams County.
BROWN COUNTY - In 2022, the AAA7 served 716 individuals in Brown County.

HIGHLAND COUNTY - In 2022, the AAA7 served 613 individuals in Highland County.
JACKSON COUNTY - In 2022, the AAA7 served 756 individuals in Jackson County.
LAWRENCE COUNTY - In 2022, the AAA7 served 941 individuals in Lawrence County.
PIKE COUNTY - In 2022, the AAA7 served 627 individuals in Pike County.
ROSS COUNTY - In 2022, the AAA7 served 1,416 individuals in Ross County.
SCIOTO COUNTY - In 2022, the AAA7 served 1,181 individuals in Scioto County.
VINTON COUNTY - In 2022, the AAA7 served 382 individuals in Vinton County.
